We are seeking a Sr Data Engineer / Sr Data Architect who will establish the Data Engineering foundations and will lead the charge on the continuous improvement, monitoring and design of the storage solutions and data architecture at GridUnity. This individual must be highly organized with the ability to stay on top of multiple projects, teams and deliverables across a range of storage and architecture implementations and sizes, ranging from 10GB to 10+TB databases and other stores. The applicant must have willingness and ability to adapt to changing internal and external priorities, while working in a NIST compliant environment.
You will be responsible for enhancing monitoring for existing databases, creating capacity and resource plans, for recommending new options and technologies, and for enhancing and tuning existing databases. You will also be responsible for developing and tuning complex queries, and providing coaching to the broader development team on best practices and industry-standard approaches to data and database access. Additionally, you will be responsible for data architecture and design.
